TESTIMONIALS
TEACHING
"David is a flexible and patient teacher with a deep knowledge of both classical music and the teaching of it. I enthusiastically recommend David to students of all ages." C.Jenkins easy.
I'"David is an excellent piano teacher who provides lessons which are rewarding, interesting and inspiring!" I Fiddes, Record/Audio sales.
"I recommend David to anyone who is thinking of learning how to play the piano, whether a beginner or an advanced student. He has given me (49) and my daughter (14) a depth of insight into our technique and interpretation which compliments his expertise of the instrument, historical muscial knowlege and his tuition methods, which are supported with his personal goals of continued Professional Development.
He is very approachable, thoughtful in his approach to each student, humorous and has the ability to put one at ease, whilst at the same time providing you with exercises tailored to your needs, which are fun to attempt and ultimately will improve your capacity to learn and master the instrument, improve your own style and add to your appreciation of music. I look forward to our continuing journey."

"I have worked with David twice. He is a wonderful accompanist managing to be both supportive and knowledgeable and balancing those two things well. He adapts well to circumstances and is solid and dependable in rehearsals while also knowing when to speak up and what to watch. A quiet strong force in the room he can be totally trusted and should always be listened to" - L.Turner (Soprano/Director).
ACCOMPANYING
I'd just like to say a huge thank you for accompanying me so well in the Rotary competition. I don't think I've worked with someone who has paid such close attention to me and the music before, as much as you did. I hope I get the opportunity to work with you again sometime in the future. Best regards, J. Smith
"I approached David to provide piano accompaniment for upcoming examinations of some of my flute pupils. David prepared accompaniments for candidates presenting for grades 3, 4 and 5 flute. He undertook rehearsals with each candidate, during which he was able to put them at ease, and respond sensitively to their musical needs. This was also evident on the day of the exam, when David's calm and encouraging manner was certainly beneficial for the candidates. I would engage David again as an exam accompanist." J.S. (Flute teacher)
WEDDINGS & OTHER EVENTS
"Just wanted to say thanks for the wedding day. We've had lots and lots of lovely comments about your playing and the photographer captured some great photos of you! Andy heard it all and said you were great and everyone has been very complimentary. So again thanks, and all the best". (D. Eynon)
EXAMINATIONS
EE
Thank you for letting us know the exam mark so quickly. She is very pleased as you can imagine. This would never have been achieved without all the hard work you put in, so once again, thank you. " KH
"Thank you for all your hard work and persistence in helping me get my Grade 8, which I totally attribute to you." LJ
"Many thanks for seeing the boys through their exams and keeping the momentum. It was much appreciated. They have benefited from your teaching and their eagerness to carry on having lessons testifies to the enthusiasm you instilled in them." CR
"Outside my 'day job', I have attended concerts David has given, and have also worked with him in the context of church music, typically, in organising and producing carol services. David is very capable, flexible, accommodating and amenable to work with. He is a very patient and unflappable character. Beyond the obvious skill and ability you expect from a pianist of his standard, he plays piano with particular sensitivity, both as a soloist and accompanist".
